Halloween Treat Bags

Boooo!

Getting into Halloween makes the last few days. I really see lots of uses for this Anna Griffin bag die.

It comes with dies to decorate for Halloween but I just took it to another level and threw EVERYTHING in my craft room at these bags. Everybody on the list will be getting one for Halloween and Christmas and Valentine's Day and..... Do you get my drift?

This was an easy make. I cut the bag out of a paper pack from Martha Stewart, colored up the KLM Digital Designs image from the new release, and popped it up onto the bag. This photo was taken before I added the Ranger Grit paste to it. I colored it with a little Forest Moss ink and it looks so cool.

I'll fill a little snack baggie with some goodies and give this to someone on my list. The backs are also finished with assorted cutouts, stamps, and anything else I can find in my stash.

This bag is for my grandson, the skinny eating machine! I used the candy corn and cookie skull Sizzix dies as well as Mr. Bones to decorate this bag.

The sentiment is from a MFT Stamps stamp set.

Like I said... I'm using everything I can lay my hands on.
I'll take a few more photos of the others and post them later.
Right now I have 11 finished and 8 more to go.

Craft room here I come!

Sunshine birthdays

Hello there!
Today's card reflects the summer's end in the garden. I love all the sunflowers still standing tall in the gardens and fields around Vermont. The next few days are forecast to be crisp and cool which will speed up the foliage change which has already begun.

This card construction was new to me. It was so easy I actually made 3 of them, each a little different variation for three September birthdays.
You can see the tutorial HERE.

I wanted a bit more height and dimension in my card to support the taller sunflower, so I added a third piece behind the fold-out section.

I created some boards using a woodgrain embossing folder and some Distress Inks. Then I cut them and glued them in place so the fold-out section looked like an apple crate.
I used a lot of foam tape on the sunflowers and some thick acetate packaging to give the stems some strength. The sentiment is an Anna Griffin sticker and the grass is from some Lavinia stamps packaging. The sunflower stamps are from Papertrey Ink and Cardio designs. The cat is a Tim Holtz/ Sizzix Thinlit. It's fun mixing all the materials and styles of the products in my room. I've been doing that a lot of late.

Enjoy the beautiful fall days ahead and look for inspiration in the beauty of nature.

Birthday Train

Welcome to Creative Juice, or Stampunstress!

Another birthday! There are so many between now and January 😅.
My little monkey is turning 8. Our youngest grandchild is a big second grader now!!
She loves my Christmas train so much I just had to make her one of her own with her pictures in it.

This thing took me two days to complete. There are a lot of train parts in my pieces bin. Choosing papers is the hardest part.
The train is Anna Griffin's die and her Matte Foil papers. Everything else is from pieces and parts from my stamp collection and dies. The photos I dropped into a document and sized them to fit those 3/4 inch windows.
Lots of fussy cutting, inlaid paper, foam tape for dimension, glitter paper, gems, and love went into this card.
Enjoy your week.
Keep creating,
Susan

New Graduate's Car

Hello there! Welcome.

While on break from the design team I tried a few new things. One being this car die from Anna Griffin. As I mentioned before, her stuff is lovely, but not really my style, until this car........
I LOVE IT! I can see so many possibilities for this.

I used some black foil paper from Tim Holtz with a little alcohol ink on it. The dapper fella is an Idea-ology Paper doll. I cut the area near his hand and slipped in a small piece of rolled parchment paper to suggest a diploma. For my Grandson but no car but this 😏

Who would have ever thought Anna and Tim styles would come together like this. I must try it again sometime.
Until next time,
 Smile and keep creating.

Another Time

Welcome!

Today's card is the first one I made with the Anna Griffin Clock die. I'm not into the 5x7 size cards much, so this one is an A2 that uses a Honeybee Designs Die decorative frame behind the clock face. It was a perfect fit.

My best friend calls me daily at 3:00 while she has a glass of wine while making dinner. I can set my clock by her call. She is the one who introduced me to the Anna Griffin experience. It is SO her style and so not mine.

That background is a piece of stash I have saved for YEARS! Perfect for anything wine or formal. It's time to start using up some of this stash!
I really like that foil from Anna Griffin. it is so classy looking.

On the inside of the card I used a Die-namics set from MFT Stamps. the glass and bottle were cut from colored vellum and the label was hand drawn.  Her Italian family name is Manolfi, thus the "Vintage Manolfi" label.

The sentiment on the inside is how we answer the phone...
         "It's wine time"

I think I'll go have a glass ... and make dinner.

Enjoy, and until next time,
Smile and keep creating.

New to ME

Hello there.

Today I'm back with an entirely new style of card making. So not my style, but I do like it.
I have always been attracted to the Anna Griffin papers. They are so lovely, I just never got into all the flowers, ribbons and lace that is French Provincial. I'm more of a tailored, Edie Bauer type 😏.
HOWEVER... my best friend made me a Christmas card with her train die and the rest is history. I'm very limited in what I like and have,  but her Matte Foil papers are an experience. Once you emboss something with that stuff... well, it's all over.

This card is for my Daughter-in-law's birthday.
That lovely clock die is from Anna Griffin. It only uses 2 of the dies in the set. See that matte foil?  How pretty is that? I used a gold and a teal color to go with "that paper" from Hobby Lobby.
The sentiment banner is from another Anna Griffin kit I have yet to use the die from. Later....

The clock face is just the right size for an A2 card. Most of her dies fit the 5x7 size.

It's fun to step outside of your box once in a while, even if it's not too far outside, as you'll notice later.

Off to mow the lawn while we have a dry afternoon.
Until next time,
Smile and keep creating.
