RUN don’t  walk to the nearest store or computer to get a copy!

I have a project hiding in here somewhere. Think you can find it? Let me know if you do. I will randomly select a winner from those entered on  April 10.

That should give you some time to get it in your hot little hands!

Winner will receive a KLM clear stamp and some goodies to play with.Gift with a bow

The WINNER

PICT0351                                                                                                                                                             Here is the winning card that earned me the honor of

Paper Crafts Magazine Stamping Royalty. Many other great cards and winners can be seen in the November/December issue.

One of my favorite things to do is to create my own backgrounds. I have tons of patterned paper! Have you seen much of it on this blog? I struggle with it often, usually putting it away only to make my own as I did here. I love to layer colors onto paper giving and otherwise flat color some depth. Sponging is my method of choice. Then I choose a simple stamp to give it a little motion. (Leaves are from Beautiful Blooms, Papertrey Ink) The focal image (Mum) is a digital image by KLM Designs, colored in Copics. That gorgeous ribbon is recycled from a Harry and David’s package.

For all of you out there that have never submit a card for publication, try it! This was my first attempt, look what happened!

Got your number! PTI June Bloghop Colrs

I figured I'd best post this before the laptop goes to the shop for a check-up. Have been having some serious issues lately. I give up! Time for the professionals to bail me out.

This little guy is for one of the Paper Craft challenges, to use pages from the phone book. It is also a favorite color of PTI papers.

My grandson's birthday is soon so I decided to make his card using this KLM clown stamp. He was colored with Copic markers. Classic Numbers from SU is the 5 stamped on the background and the sentiment. The 5s in all the phone numbers are highlighted. Cardstock and ribbon are PTI,(Terra Cotta, Enchanted Evening, and Summer Sunrise). Sentiment was computer generated and punched with SU punches.

CKC Manchester

CKC was an adventure. Kim Hughes was a delight to work with at the Paper Crafts make and take booth. I was also fortunate enough to take a class with her and then stick around and be her assistant at another. Great fun. Below are the cards from the make and take as promised.

I wish I knew who was responsible for designing these as the idea was brilliant. Everyone who made them was excited to be able to use their left-over number stickers! The numbers are making the scallop above LOVE. Use 8 and 3 on their sides and you will get more bumps. The numbers 0,9,6, finish the strip.
Card 2 uses the left over scraps from punching the hearts. The yellow goes inside the card and peeks through the punched or cut heart. The red is also left from card 1, after trimming a thin strip for the scallops and punching the heart. Use letter stickers on the white stock. It gives a nice embossed look. A great idea to use left over stickers!
Now that you have used all the stickers, what do you have left? A sheet of sticky paper with letter holes. Find the part with the h and i together and cut an area big enough to cover the card front. Now simply color in the h and i with the color of your choice. Add a brad for fun.

What a great way to use up a bunch of scraps and recycle the sticker sheets! Perfect projects for EARTH DAY week!

Thank you Paper Crafts for the opportunity.
