Happy Saint Patrick's Day!

I absolutely love the Anita Jeram images at Colorado Craft Company. This little guy is so perfect for St. Patrick's day and incredibly easy to watercolor.

I have also become hooked on gel press backgrounds. (Thanks, Jennifer!) Honestly, I was able to crank out 9 of these little slider cards, from start to finish, including the background paper, in about 6 hours.

I was trying to get them done before the mail person came, but they had a sub on today and she was here WAY earlier than usual.  Oh, well, tomorrow will be okay.

Good morning,

Today is such a gorgeous day here in New Hampshire. Went for a walk with the littlest one and then a trip to the play ground to swing. It feels like a day for this kind of chair!

This was the card I made for my principal. She decided to retire this year instead of wait. It was a really fun card to make. I've done one before but I decided to add a curtain effect. She owns a B&B in Woodstock, VT. This just looked like it should be for her.

Card front is impressed with PTI Woodgrain plate on Kraft. The image is from Lockhart stamps. Basic Backgrounds: Tintype was used on the curtain and lined (much like in sewing) on the back to cover tape and lace.

Good Grief!

I know I'm getting old . . . and disorganized! I made this card for a workshop just before Valentine's Day. I know it was cased from a talented stamper. I wrote the info on a post it so I would have it when I posted. Well, here it is late spring, Valentine's is long gone and so is the post it and my memory. Sorry! Stamp: SU- Fun & Fast Notes, Short and Sweet ; Paper: Kraft, black, real red, Whisper white; Ink: Craft White, black; Accessories: Markers, blender pens, ribbon.

This card was a mix of techniques using the old French Script and Petal prints. All supplies are Stampin'UP unless otherwise stated. I hadn't tried the layering of backgrounds before I did this card. Needless to say I do it a lot more now. The image was stamped on wet watercolor paper. Script was stamped in caramel after it dried and edges sponged. It is layered on real red. Script is stamped again on white in caramel then olive leaves stamped over that. Ribbon is attached with a decorative bar staple I purchased from  thescrapbookmarket
