Late but Fun

I know, fall left us on the 21st but, this was so much fun to play with. This little darling was created from the images in PTI's First Fruits.
I used inks from the Petal Points sets from Colorbox and got some nice color shading.
Sentiment is from Mailbox Greetings, PTI
Buttons, Jesse James, Co.
Paper: Scarlet Jewel, Chartruse and Ivory, PTI

Bridal Wreath

Here again is a little card that went unloved by the magazine gods. I have fallen in love with the Fine Linen paper from PTI.
It is so rich when used with ivory. The pearl accents are left over seed pearls from my daughter's wedding dress. I only have thousands left that I have stored for 8 years, might as well use them. If I did this again I would emboss the sentiment in an ivory, but didn't have any.
PTI: Wreath For All Seasons, sentiment from Delightful Dahlias
Cuttlebug: Swiss Dot embossing folder
Score tool, Medium scallop Die , Mat Stack die, PTI
Lace accent, seed beads attached with Crystal Effects, SU
Hope you like this one.

Monarch Magic
Fall always brings lovely visitors to my garden. This fella was sunning himself on the rocks on a cool morning. I couldn’t have staged a photo this good. Between the mum and the fallen Veronica flower is shouted the end of the season. He was the perfect addition! We managed to raise several Monarchs this year. I let the milkweed grow in my garden (much to the neighbors dismay!) and was rewarded by several eggs. I gave one to my grandson for his school, kept one at home for my husband to monitor during his recuperation time, and took 3 to school. Every one of them was a male! Many of the ones that visited the garden were male as well.
They are off on their way to Mexico, now. Here is the card I made with the photo.
Papers are Lovely Lilac, Whisper White and Basic Black from SU. Stamp and scallop die are PTI. Chrystals are from Hero Arts. Cuttlebug E

Pieces and parts
Here is another from the scrap bin. I have no idea what stamps were used on the green. I know it was made at my daughter's so I would guess and say it is probably from Hero Arts. We were making tons of background pieces one summer. I'm still using them! The fan is Hero Arts from a Clear set, Arigato. Ovals are SU punches; sentiment is PTI Mixed Messages.

Happy mail!

Yahoo! Happy mail in the email today. I had 4 pieces accepted for the January/February issue of Paper Crafts Magazine. That still leaves me with a few pieces that I can post here!
I'm really trying to simplify things a bit, can you tell? This really came out well.
Papers are Kraft, Lemon Tart, Stamper's Select White. Ribbon is PTI Lemon Tart. The dies are all from PTI. I beginning to build quite a collection. I love that they match stamp sets.
The sentiment is also PTI, from Everyday Button Bits.

Tuesday Trigger
Good Morning,Isn't this pretty. Makes me want to call my best friend and have her come over for coffee (or tea).
This is the TUESDAY TRIGGER over at Moxie Fab World. If you need a little kick of inspiration this is definately the place to visit.
I love the colors and the entire feel of this. I wanted to keep as much of the color and idea the same in my card. I've also been having a ball making all kinds of paper flowers. This gives me an excuse to make some more. I'm avoiding the weeds in the 5 gardens I have in my yard. Overwhelmed with the weeding chore, I can make paper flowers and throw away the "weeds". ;)
I had this paper from Scrapdashery in my stash. When I saw the background in the trigger it immediately came to mind. All other materials are from Papertrey Ink. Enchanted Evening was a perfect grounding mat. The image and sentiment are from Tea for Two, stamped in Hawaiian Shores and Tuxedo Black (Tsukineko). The roses are made from Sweet Blush and Hibiscus Burst. The pearls were colored with Copics to pull in the delicious butterscotch color of the teacup. Border punch is
Fiskars.
Hope you like!

Easel card fun

This is a first for a lot of things. The first time I've made an easel card, sewn on paper and edited photos to make a collage. What do you think?
Now I need to figure how to save my word docs that list materials so I can copy them to the blog without retyping the list. Can anyone help with that? I'm so 'puter illiterate
I figured it out! Yay!

PTI Contest
What a perfect combination. Mid-winter vacation from school, a PTI release and contest, AND the Winter Olympics. This is a perfect storm kind of week! I couldn't wait to do this contest. It sounded like such fun and I will do some more of these cute sheets to send to some stamping friends that I haven't seen in a while. What a great idea! As for the PTI release. . . well, let's just say some spending plans are going to change!
I chose to use the Mum image from KLM Digital Designs as my focal point. I printed it 3 times so I could layer it for added dimension. It is colored with Copics. The cardstock is PTI's Lemon Tart and Ripe Avocado. I used a sentiment from PTI's Floral Frenzy. Leaves from First Fruits (PTI) were stamped in Versa on the green for added depth. The ribbon and button are also from PTI.

It's that time again!
Ah, yes. . . While all of you mom's out there in blog world, look forward to those nice mornings of stamping over coffee after the bus has picked up that last little kiddo, I have returned to the snatched coffee on the drive to school to greet those little guys at the classroom door.
Gone are the leisurely cups of coffee on the sunny porch. (I know, you're saying, "What sun?") I already miss those days of nothing but paper, stamps, glue and markers! Now I have to rob time from grading papers, cleaning house and grandchildren to stamp. Every day off I hope I can steal a minute or two to stamp, color or assemble something. I still need to use some of that time to sketch some images for KLM Digital Designs. The good news is that I am more comfortable with the curriculum after 2 years in one place. Thank
goodness! These little guys were made the week before school started. This size card is perfect to keep in my desk for quick notes. The boxed set is ideal as a small gift for a colleague.
Stamps: PTI, Teacher's Apple ; SU, Fancy Flexible Phrases; Hero Arts, Thoughtful Messages.
Card Stock: SU. Patterned Paper: Michael's
Accessories: buttons, PTI ribbon, gingham ribbon, hemp twine, punches.
Box is made from scrap cardboard found in packages of DS papers and an overhead acetate sheet.
