I had to use it right away for this card. This was so much fun to make. It didn't take as long as I thought it would. I'm sure as I make more of them it will be quicker still.
Base card is SU Basic Black brushed very lightly with Twisted Citron Distress Oxide ink and splattered with gold water based pigment. (Gansai Tambi Starry Colors).
I used the Magic Iris mechanism die and the Snow Globe add on from Lawn Fawn. I brushed on Twisted Citron, Peeled Paint and Black Soot Distress inks.
The base of the snow globe was cut again using a scrap of wood grain paper. I cut the top and bottom bands again and added just a touch of the gold pigment. The cauldron came from a Halloween Pad (12x12) by Martha Stewart, given to me as a gift. Under the cauldron are some confetti leaves to suggested embers of a fire.
Inside the Magic Iris I stamped the witches feet from PaperTrey Ink's Friendship Jar Fall Fillers. I colored them with Copics, masked them and added the same Distress Inks as on the front and painted the stars gold.
This is so much fun to make. I really like sponging the mechanism edges with matching inks so they are not white.
I see more of these in my future.
Susan
