Holiday friends

The time is getting closer! Granted, I do not send a huge amount of Christmas cards but I really need to get the led out. I have been hobbled in my creating cards by another major renovation project. I am very hands on as we do most of the work ourselves, so all my energies have been spent replacing walls, ceilings and windows in our family room. If I never have to mud another ceiling or trim out another window it will be too soon!! Honestly, my carpentry is better than my cooking 😏. The home stretch is here. Floors are being cleaned, tools put back in the shop and furniture returned to the room! Yay!

One afternoon my friend and I finally got together for an afternoon of stamping. I brought home these cute little animals to do something with. Yesterday was the day. I was flipping through my drawer of background papers and came across this snowy looking sky piece. Inspiration hit and a few minutes later this card was the result.

The background was blended with Distress ink on Bristol Smooth paper. I masked the rays with Post a Notes and lightly sponged Brilliance Moonlight White ink for the star rays.

The Trees are a piece of the Sizzix die cut Tree Line. The snow is cut with an MFT die, Stitched Snow Drifts. The panels were also cut with MFT Stitched Rectangle STAX dies.

The sentiment from Toasty Greetings, (MFT) was embossed in Ranger Liquid Platinum powder.

The sweet animals are from Lawn Fawn's Winter Sky. Unfortunately, I did not keep track of the colors I used as I was away from home using my friend's supplies.

She will be getting this in her mail box in December.
