Halloween Manor

Welcome back.

Halloween is nearly here and I finally got my Village collection dies and got to make my grands their haunted house. I love the idea of making all my own papers. I raided my stash of wood grain and stone embossed papers to make "siding" for the Manor. If you haven't seen the video from Tim Holtz on how to do this watch it here. It really is as easy as it looks.

I sprayed a dark gray cardstock with a variety of Distress Inks and Oxides to make the shingles. I cut the smaller chimney of the same gray paper and used some silver Metallic rub-on  to make it look metallic.
I splurged to by some mica for windows, hand cut a ghost from frosted vellum, punched out two tiny bats and sandwiched a piece of floral wire between them and attached him to the house.

The base is a small box I made from bristol board covered with printed paper from a  Halloween paper stack from last years purchase at Michael's.

I made a hole in the base and attached a battery powered tea light with some double sided tape so the flame part extends up into the house.

I covered the top of the box with some moss and the Ideology pumpkins and added the skull to the top of the manor.

The sentiment sticker is from the Idea-ology Curiosities sticker book.

I delivered it last night and they loved it!
Now that I have made one... well let's say it's like eating chips. One just doesn't do it! 😏

Have a happy and safe holiday weekend.
