Halloween window ala Holtz

Welcome!

I must preface this to say I have NEVER been a fan of Halloween. Not even as a kid. I know, what's wrong with me? I just figured the excitement of all the people around me was plenty. Then along came my fascination with Tim Holtz.  Halloween is growing on me... a little.

Here is my attempt to use some of my limited supplies and papers I made. The card is a piece of Basic Black SU cardstock, sprayed lightly with Pewter mica spray.
Behind the window is a piece I made using Stacy's     technique from her blog Tattered Nest Designs, prior to the release of the Moon Mask. It was not the most successful attempt but it worked for this card. I used a borrowed Sizzix die (I can't find it anywhere! Retired?) for the background tree.  The Boo is Sizzix bold Alphanumeric dies. I stamped the ghost on Shrinky plastic with Black Soot Archival ink as was the moth.
(Stampers Anonymous-Halloween Doodles and Moth Study) Ideology window frames- Halloween 2021  was covered with Collage Medium Matte, Texture paste crackle and Distress crayons. I don't have any mica other than sprays so I crinkled pieces of acetate and stuck a couple behind the corner of the windows. On the letters I used 3 layers of Crackling Campfire Distress Glaze to get a raised letter. I used a variety of foliage cuts to arrange on the window.

Have a happy and safe Halloween.
