Summer Fun

Hello, there. Welcome to my blog. I hope you are well and having a great day.

I am proud to be on the Design Team for a small stamp company here in Vermont. They create Digital stamps and sentiments and have recently branched off into clear photopolymer stamps of some of the most popular images. I have been having a ball playing with the June release!

I love this image. We love blowing bubbles around here at Grandma's house. I have GALLONS of bubble juice at the ready when grandkids arrive. Even the dog loves bubbles!

Process: I printed the KLM Digital Design image and sentiment onto white card stock and colored the image with Copic markers. I masked the boy then used Distress Inks to stencil the clouds. The cloud stencil is from My Favorite Things Stamps.

NOTE: I use an Epson printer with a large capacity ink tank. I have found that it is very stable when coloring with Copics. However, of I am blending or brushing ink over it, it will move a little. I trust NO ink when it comes to adding colors over it, so instead of using a blending motion I tap the ink on in layers until I am happy with it.

I was inspired by an amazing sunset when applying the colors for clouds. I was getting bored with plain blue ones 😉.
The panel was die cut with a Stitched Rectangle die from MFT.https://mftstamps.com/collections/die-namics I used two thin strips of gold mirror paper by Recollections on the sides when placing the panel onto the card base.

Hopefully it evokes a summery feeling.
Have a wonderful day and take a few minutes to create ... Or blow a few bubbles with a kiddo.
Susan

Love the way you have used the colours in the clouds

Very sweet image. I'm glad KLM started making photopolymer stamps because I can't print out images. Its my favorite place to go for stamps now whenever I can fit some in my budget.
