Styles Combined

Good morning. Welcome to Creative Juice.

Lately I have been playing with the more free style of creating inspired by Tim Holtz. You KNOW that is way out of the box for me. Today while searching for a particular image in my stash of pre- mades, I came upon this adorable MFT image I had yet to use on a card. Earlier in the day I had been playing with Distress Oxides. I watched a Tim Holtz video the night before in which he used ONE color and got these amazing results. I had to try it! All I can say is AMAZING!

I did discover that the results do depend on what paper you use. I tried it on multimedia, tag, bristol and watercolor papers. Watercolor gave the best results by far! I didn't have a spray in Brushed Corduroy so my results were a bit different in that respect as well.

When I found the sunflower girl she just jumped out as a perfect match for the background paper.

She is from MFT Stamps and is colored with Copics.

The background paper was made with layers of Brushed Corduroy. That's it!

I'm addicted!

Susan

Love it. I have a couple distress oxide pads I haven't tried yet. Maybe I will soon.
