Welcome to Creative Juice Card Blog!

Well, spring might be here. The weather has been a little indecisive. It was 80 on the day the guys came to rebuild the chimney, and yesterday it snowed a bit. Go figure ..... springtime in Vermont!

Today I am sharing a couple of cards for the summer holidays.
The first card is for all the Dads out there.

This is the Wheelbarrow Gnome from the April release at KLM Digital Designs. I printed the digital image onto white card stock along with one of the 3 sentiments that come with it.
The image and the ground are colored with Copic markers.
The stenciled clouds are done in Distress Ink Stormy Sky with a stencil from A Colorful Life Designs.

The background came from a "play" day with a friend before Covid!! We were feeling creative one day and decided to use a technique she had seen that used reinkers, school glue, and tissue paper. WHAT A MESS! It makes for a very sturdy background, though.

I cut the panels with a stitched rectangle die and attached them to a plain white card.

The second card is also from the same release at KLM.

The American Flag Gnome was fun to use, although next time I with make him a little larger. It will be easier to color the detail in that flag!😏

The image is colored with Copic Markers and then cut with a Scan N Cut. I stamped the fireworks background with the Festive Fireworks stamp set from MFT. I used white pigment ink first to give a base for the colors to go over. Make sure the ink is dry before adding another medium. I used Sakura Gelly Roll star pens because I wanted that sparkle (that doesn't come through in photos). No matter what you use to add color, make sure to clean the nib of the pen after so the white ink won't interfere with the pen's use later. This is especially important if using Copics.
The arched frame and D arch layer are stitched dies from MFT as well. I popped up the sentiment and the image using thin 3M foam tape to give them a little more dimension.

Thanks for stopping by. Have a creative day.

Susan
