Today's card was a new experiment for me. I have wanted to try this for some time and finally took the time to just play.
I have a lot of sheet music and lesson books from the clean-out of my family home. I love the look of music on a card, being from a musical family. It brings back fond memories of friends and experiences.
The bird is Tim Hiltz Sizzix Thinlit die Feathered Friends, cut from Distress Spray Stain watercolored papers. The flower is Pink Peonies from Sunny Studios, embossed in gold and colored with Copics.
The sentiment stamp is from klmdigitaldesigns.com Greeting Mashup.
I brushed a little Vintage Photo Distress Ink around the sides of the sheet music to further age it. It's layered on some old pre-cut stash paper.
Sheet music makes a great background for any "just a note" card, don't you think?
