Wreath inlay

Welcome to another post.

I am frequently inspired by Jennifer McGuire, as are many of you. But, I must admit that there are times when I think she has gone around the bend with a technique. Whenever she does inlay cards with itty bitty pieces I just shake my head and think "Better you than me, Jennifer. You go girl!"

Today I actually tried one. It takes some focus and planning (which I'm not blessed with very often), but it's not as bad as I thought.  Jennifer, I apologize for doubting you 😏.

I had this wreath cut out from a garage sale find. It's been sitting in an envelope waiting for me to play with it. I dug out the die and cut the flowers from scraps then glued them in place. Just a little fiddly but it was doable. It was attached to a piece of dyed background then layered onto an embossed panel.

The sentiment came in a set of word dies from Cherry Lynn Designs.

I might try this technique again.  Maybe. I'll think about it.....
