I VIKE you!

Welcome to Creative Juice - my creative corner of the blogging world.

    I'm away from home today, taking care of my 91 year old mom for a few days. Her sense of humor is still at it's best!! I wore the poor dear out with some exercise this morning, so while she has a little nap I'm trying to keep up with my card posts.

    Last week was a very productive making week. I managed to get all my design team makes finished and a few of the birthday and back to school cards I needed to make. ( Coming soon to the blog. )

    Today's card was simply play. There were several things I wanted to use that have been neglected.
If you follow me at all, you know that I love to make backgrounds and have a huge pile of them in a drawer in various stages of "done". Some are even rejects from other projects.
    This card uses one of those gel press backgrounds that didn't make the cut. It just needed a little something. That something was the bubbles stencil from Stampers Anonymous stenciled over the entire piece with Brilliance Moonlight white ink. Unfortunately, the photo doesn't pick up the subtle shimmer that just saved this background.
    I also tried out my friends new texture fades folder. What fun! I thought it was a perfect fit with the little Viking stamp set from klmdigitaldesigns. He is so much fun!

Background- Gel press and Distress Oxide inks:Tumbled Glass, Broken China, over stencil (can't remember the name) in salty ocean then Stencil THS138 in Brilliance moonlight white. Finally, a light spray of Brushed Pewter Mica Spray.  Silver paper embossed with the Foundry embossing folder  was painted with black paint and gently rubbed off to get a very metallic look.

Viking colored with Copic markers;
