Reading Gnome Thankful Friend

Today's card celebrates a friendship like no other. She remembers me when I was under 5. My husband grew up in the same neighborhood as she and her sister. I grew up in the same neighborhood that her husband's family lived in for a short time. We didn't realize we even knew each other until we began teaching in the same school. We have been through too many things to even mention over 30 years.  I am thankful beyond words for her friendship.  She is my card making buddy and often times shopping enabler! This card is perfect for her as she is the best reading teacher I have ever worked with.

The image is from the Reading Gnome Polymer Stamp set from KLM Digital Designs. I used the sentiment from the Hang in There stamp set. 

I colored the image on Copic friendly paper and cut the panel with A2 Stitched Rectangles STAX Die-namics from MFT. The scalloped frame is cut with Blueprint 27 Die-namics out of SU Always Artichoke. The card base is of Soft Suede paper. 

 A few pieces of fall leaf confetti finished it up.
