Today I decided to repurpose some of my digital images. This little guy was released in February for Valentines, but with a little doodling on his hat, I turned him into a spring/summer birthday card.
Both the circle birthday sentiment and the Gnome are from KLM Digital Design. I printed the circle image four time on a standard card stock page so I will have four card fronts. I masked off the stitched edges of the panel, ( MFT A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Dienamics Set 2). Then I blended the background using Distress Inks (any dye ink will work), and MY Favorite Things Small Cloud and grass stencils. I am very careful when blending around any printing as the ink MAY lift a little with friction and addition of moisture. I don't have a laser printer.
I drew the bee and stripes onto the gnome's hat with a Copic Microliner. He is colored with Copics and cut out with a San N Cut machine. He is popped up using Recollections Foam Squares. They are a little higher than I like but they still work.
The colored panel is placed on an SU Basic Black panel and a So Saffron Card base.
So... don't feel locked into one use for your images. One little doodle or change of sentiment or setting can give a whole new life to the images you have. Take a chance....
Have a great day and stay healthy,
Susan
