Alcohol ink technique x2

Welcome to my bog. I hope you visit often.

Today I am showing 2 cards made at the same time. I was inspired by a Jennifer McGuire video (Alcohol Blend Coloring). She is something, isn't she? I had all these pieces of background papers to use, so I tried the alcohol lift method. I used the Ranger Blender pen and lifted the ink from the flowers on the background paper and transferred them to an embossed image on a plain cardstock panel. The results are quite nice. I was a little disappointed in the blender pen. The tip of the blender took a beating from going over the embossing. It is still perfectly usable, but all that rough area softened it. Lesson learned... stick to more open images and avoid going over the embossing lines.

Stay tuned, I did a second set that I will post later.
