Welcome to Creative Juice.
Do you ever just love a piece of paper so much you feel awful about wasting the smallest piece?
I used to. Until I acquired a huge amount of strips of paper. So I tried to use as much as I could in a marathon session of "scrap only" creations. I worked at it for days...weeks... I still have a little, but finally got rid of the rest. There comes a time, right?
Here are two of the strip projects. I glued the strips on a piece of light weight scrap to make a panel. I ran the panel through the Big Shot with an embossing folder. It sounds like overkill, but that little bit of embossing seems to give the impression that the pieced panel is one piece of paper.
Finally I used things from my Pieces and Parts drawer to finish the project. That's another area that needs a few days of concentrated effort to reduce.
I find these projects very rewarding. It isn't very often I can say I make 10-15 cards in a day. They are not the fanciest cards using all the bells and whistles, but they are still nice cards. I try to turn out a bunch of these ever month or two, then send them to the senior apartment center my mother lives in or to the Cards for Soldiers project. That way someone who can use them has them at their disposal.
Grab a couple of friends, make some easy salad or cheese and crackers and wine, then spend the day with friends, food and laughter creating!
Have a wonderful week,
Susan
