As I promised, here are two more of the watercolor background cards I made. Really, this technique is so easy and fun. It can add real artistic zing to a plain card base. If you haven't tried it, do. I think the possibilities are endless. If you use the link in my last post to the tutorial, she gives very good tips on how to achieve the desired effect.
These are certainly brighter than the last two. We are still hoping for more sun and a little less rain around here. I was thinking of the beach when I created this first card. I do so love going to Maine. Didn't make it this April so this will have to do. The chair is from Stampin'UP Seasonl Layers thinlets.
The Spellbinders "hello" die was cut a few times and layered to add some extra dimension. A few pieces of iridescent confetti suggest bubbles.
This card I used the left over ink on the block from the card above plus a little extra marker. The little butterfly came from
an "antique" metal die, pre 1995. I'm not sure what company made it, but any butterfly or dragonfly would work with this among other things.
Hello is from a small Hobby Lobby die set.
How I miss Hobby Lobby! It was only here a year but it filled a huge void in the art supply, fabric and home dec department in our area. I guess the local shoppers did not support it enough to generate enough income to stay here. Sad.
Well, on to more projects... like spring cleaning? 🙅
Have a fabulous day (even if you do spring clean),
Susan
