Hello all. It has been some summer! I have taken a bit of time from vacation prep to make and post this card. I just had to do it! I loved the inspiration photo AND combined that with the 10th challenge. I almost had the Make it Monday in there too but the piece made it way too busy. Another time. For now here is the inspiration and the card.

To see the Hop specifics and the other participants click on the inspiration picture.

I love the color combinations , the squares on the chest and the motif on the quilt and the pillows. I almost included in my card the stripes. It looks great here, but not on the card!

I used the darker blue as my color selection for the lighter did not exist. Same with the green, Spring Moss instead of the Chartreuses.

The squares were cut with the Button Die Collection, stamped in spring moss with a small leaf from Sending You. The butterflies from Butterfly Dreams and the flower from A Year of Flowers Collection are over stamped. I used Copic to color the flower. I did use Heather’s technique for blending a little Sakura glitter pen on the butterflies. I use the pen all the time but never blended it before. Thanks for the tip Heather!

The Terra Cotta background is stamped with Guide lines Two and Versa Mark Dazzle. It has just a little touch of glitz.

The sentiment is from Butterfly Dreams using the same technique to background stamp the circle then the darker sentiment.

Head on over to the blog to see all the gorgeous Challenge winners and Blog hop entries. One stop inspiration at Capture the Moment.   Enjoy!

Lovely card! Great take on the inspiration photo. Pretty little orange flower adding just the right balance to this.
