Birthday train

Hello friends!

The card I'm sharing today is my first attempt at using an Anna Griffin die. My friend has gone down that rabbit hole in a big way. She made an incredible Christmas card for us using the train die.

That is my husband as Santa. He retired this year after 24+ years as the city Santa. The 5 grandchildren are pictured in the small windows.

I like her stuff, but it's not really my style. However, we had an important birthday on the horizon.
My granddaughter loved the Christmas card, so I decided to dive in and make the train for her birthday.

If you decide to make an Anna Griffin project, make sure to set aside some serious time to complete it. They are great for personalizing, but sheesh!! The time it takes.
This baby took me 2 days to finish! Granted one can make this as involved or as simple as desired but it still takes some planning. Choosing the papers for the project I find the hardest. Then, the detailing requires some thought as well. I knew what I wanted to use, but the layout required some trial and error, and some help from my friend! She can just "see" what needs to be used and where. What a talent!

The photo at the front of the train is of the birthday girl in her Super Girl costume when she was little. That look should have warned us of things to come!😆

She loved the card!

Now I have to try the ferris wheel die for the older granddaughter's birthday. Good grief!
