Time for Haunting

I have a stack, actually many little boxes, full of colored images to use on cards and such. When I get so many I can't close  the boxes I know it's time to create a "many pieces project". These little Box cards are the perfect thing for using up many small pieces. They are a little time consuming to design but the results are well worth it. I made my mom one last Mother's Day and she still has it on her shelf.

I make them a little smaller so they fit in an A2 envelope. If you cut the box at 5x 8 1/2 you will be able to extend the tip element 5/8" above the box top. When the box folds you need to make sure it folds behind any elements extending beyond the sides. This takes just a bit of planning in the design stage.
Word to the wise;  Always design with the envelope on hand to refer to  for placements. Ask me hoe I know!😏

On the back I use a lighter color so that one can write a
message on it. I added a little of the spooky stuff just for fun as the gray panel was too plain for me.

Over the next few days I will post 4 of the box cards I made.

HERE is a good tutorial on the basics of making the boxes. The ones on this site are a bit larger than mine and the front flap folds out for another surface to cover. I have taken to tucking mine inside the box and using the front of the box itself as a focal point. As you work with these you can tweak them to your taste.
