I made this card for my dad's birthday this week. His birthday and Mother's Day always come together. I used and old retired SU set for it as well as some retired colors in the sky. This little number id really simple. I ran some scraps through the Cuttlebug with a flourish folder. Stamped the middle piece and attached them to the front of a card. This is a very simple card to make. Cut center oval with a Nestabilities Oval and emboss it. Cut the next sized oval in white for the inside image. Use Eclipse paper or a Post It to mask the moon area. Use 3 colors of blue and sponge around the moon. Begin with the lightest; blend out to the darkest. Stamp image over the sponged sky. Line up the stamped oval with the front cut out.

I came home last week to find a mysterious gift on the coffee table. Wrapped nicely it had a card that read “A little something for you”.       I absolutely love the Linen paper from PTI. It is the perfect color. It isn’t tan nor ivory or Kraft. I used it in this card for the base and stamped and old SU (Fantastic Foliage) stamp in versa mark. The layers were made with Always Artichoke and Chocolate Chip.

Here is another from the scrap bin. I have no idea what stamps were used on the green. I know it was made at my daughter's so I would guess and say it is probably from Hero Arts. How easy can you get! The frame is a stamp from KLM Designs and is inked in several colors. The ribbon is Rainbow and can still be found at Michael's. The baby pins are a coordinating set to the frame. Took all of 15 minutes, but only because I fussy cut the pins and popped one up over the other.

If you follow my work you have probably notices that I don't use much patterned paper. I love it ;I own tons of it;I have to force myself to use it.I just like to make my own backgrounds.
